These presentation slides are designed to be used in two ways:
- As a self-guided loop. In this form, the slides tell the story of the Vibrant Cities recommendations and the benefits of urban trees. We developed this in response to requests for a presentation that could run between sessions at a conference or at a kiosk or information table.
- As content to insert into a presentation you’re making. One of the most powerful aspects of the Vibrant Cities recommendations is that they are a reflection of work that is already occurring. We received a request for content that could quickly and easily explain the Vibrant Cities report, as well as speak to specific issue areas.
- Example: You’re asked to give a presentation to your local chamber of commerce about your tree-planting initiative and why the business community should support it. You might take your “standing” presentation, and insert slides 2, 4, 9 and 11 to put your work in the context of a growing body of research about the value of trees to businesses, and an expanding national movement. You can use the existing Vibrant Communities power point template or drop the content into your own presentation’s template.
